Wine N Rhyme

Anise Gastrobar, Tampa, FL

The energy of October's Wine&Rhyme was the best we ever had, letting us know this event will be a long lasting staple of Tampa's culture and that we are growing as well. This month's show will feature some amazing acts known around the bay area for their polished and professional performances.

Starting our show off will be the internationally traveled and critically acclaimed spoken word poet Giddy Perez. Her accolades include placing among the top poets in the country at several competitions, and traveling to India for poetry workshops earlier this year. Look for a unique perspective and electrifying delivery.

Kicking it off for the MC's is SirPap, who made his name known performing at Basement Sessions, then later putting on his own successful showcase called "Hip-hop Finesse." After moving to Georgia, this ill be Sir Pap's second show back since leaving after he performs at the grandiose rap event that is Hiphopalooza, put together by none other than Prince Golden.

Our acoustic act this month is Sekajipo ForthePeople, a soulful guitarist and amazing singer with a knack for songwriting. His creativity and well put together sound will be a soothing treat for our crowd at Anise, so expect to be wowed.

We're honored to have Dynasty - Ya Girl DY featuring at Wine&Rhyme, fresh off of a European tour and with a new album to sell. She'll be present with physical copies of her new album "Forever, DY" featuring production by Apollo Brown and OP Supa. Look for a fully polished and incredible display of lyrics and emotion, as her music touches on personal issues and topics such as self-esteem.

Our closing band is Venus Bleu, having performed all over the city of Tampa and wowing crowds at almost every venue you can think of on both sides of the bridge. Accompanied by vocalists, these instrumentalists take pride in their clean sound and ability to improvise. Look out for amazing harmonies, some memorable solos, and an overall feel good time.

Featuring as our visual artist is Beyobe, DJ and producer of The Young Parisians and full-on renaissance man. After picking up art recently, Beyobe has created a distinct style of sketching that is noteworthy even for the elites of the industry. Look for some amazing sketches, paintings and more.
